Abstract: PharmaTrain is a network of public and private partners that aim to develop and make available education and training resources in Medicines Development. They started their activities as an IMI (Innovative Medicines Initiative) European Project (2009) and transitioned into a not-for-profit organisation since July 2014. The PharmaTrain course concepts have been developed by university-based course providers and pharmaceutical industry experts to meet the industry’s needs and are outcomes-based to optimise the learning process for the student. In addition, PharmaTrain has developed a set of quality standards for ongoing quality assurance and created an accreditation infrastructure. Their website includes links to diploma or master programmes, CPD Modules and investigator training courses that fulfil shared standards that they developed.
